Surgical Facilities
Our surgical faiclities include:
- Both Hagley and Bromsgrove have sterile operating theatres
- Modern anaesthetic machines and monitoring equipment
- Up-to-date surgical instruments
- Electrocardiography (ECG) for monitoring and diagnosing of heart defects. The ECG machine is used to monitor the electrical activity of the heart. Most commonly our ECG is used in the small animal surgeries to aid in the diagnosis and the long term care of the patient with a heart condition. However our machine is portable and can easily be used at the equine treatment unit on our equine patients.
- Orthopaedic procedures and dental referrals are also performed by Rod Stroud MRCVS
