Dentistry

Both the Bromsgrove and Hagley surgeries have modern dental machines that are used for decaling and polishing our patient’s teeth, thus prolonging dental health.

We have an air-driven burr which is used for maintenance of rabbit and small rodent’s front teeth (incisors), which can usually be done consciously, during a routine consultation. This important piece of equipment is often used to aid in removal of the larger back teeth (molars) of cats and dogs.

We also have a wide selection of specialised dental hand tools to aid in the extraction of teeth when needed. Dental procedures in cats and dogs will normally require a general anaesthetic.

Our Hagley surgery is able to provide specialist dental referrals with Rod Stroud, BVSc, MRCVS.

Nurse’s appointments are also available daily, to offer help and advice on how to care for your pets teeth at home, through all the different life stages. This is a free service we offer to our clients, as we feel this is an important part of routine preventative healthcare for our patients.
